Who defines you?
There is a voice in everyone's head. This little voice helps us through decision making, it talks us into and out of taking action or doing certain things rightly or wrongly.
This little voice defines us. It constitutes of the entire notions that make us who we are. No matter how courageous we are if we cannot tame or redirect the little voice we will be hampered by it.
The issue then is to fully recognise this voice and most importantly what it is leading us to believe about ourselves.
The quality of our thoughts belies the quality of our life. Positive people can only remain so because they have a voice of positivity inside them that in the face of any challenge is able to release an echo of positive words.
The fact of human existence is simply GIGO: Garbage in, garbage out. The nature of environment we immerse ourselves in determines the construct of the inner voice. We must endeavour to be surrounded by positive people and also seek out materials such as books, audio and video that are rooted in positivity. This builds up the inner voice with positive notions that become a definition of who we are.
Unlearning decades of calling yourself a loser, stupid or other degrading connotations is not going to be achieved overnight. However, it is only an absolute commitment to re-educate the mind that will make this possible.
Having reminders and writing out specific things that you want to imbibe into your subconscious about yourself, goes a long way.
It is necessary to re-educate the mind because, the mind can be either a hindrance or a support towards achieving your dreams. A positive mind is not bogged down by challenges, but rather engages in finding a solution.
