Who defines you?

There is a voice in everyone's head. This little voice helps us through decision making, it talks us into and out of taking action or doing certain things rightly or wrongly. This little voice defines us. It constitutes of the entire notions that make us who we are. No matter how courageous we are if we cannot tame or redirect the little voice we will be hampered by it. The issue then is to fully recognise this voice and most importantly what it is leading us to believe about ourselves. The quality of our thoughts belies the quality of our life. Positive people can only remain so because they have a voice of positivity inside them that in the face of any challenge is able to release an echo of positive words. The fact of human existence is simply GIGO: Garbage in, garbage out. The nature of environment we immerse ourselves in determines the construct of the inner voice. We Should Admire Success, Whether It’s Ours or Somebody Else’s by Paul June

Did someone change the dictionary and not bother to tell me? Methinks so, because “success” seems to have become a four-letter word overnight. When I was growing up (you know, back in the day when we had to walk 20 miles to school, uphill both ways), success was something to be admired, something to strive for. But now, success seems to be something to view with contempt and scorn, as though someone else’s success must have happened at the expense of your good fortune (or someone else’s). Sure, there are some bad apples out there, but the good outweigh the bad by far. Success should be celebrated, admired, honored.  Why?  When someone gets a bonus at work, or some other form of recognition, are you happy for him or her—even when you get no such recognition? Or do you become overwhelmed with the feeling of sour grapes  (or bananas) , wishing it was you in the spotlight?
