HOW TO DITCH YOUR TO-DO LIST-TONY ROBBINS

Image
This article was originally  published  by Tony on LinkedIn as part of its #ProductivityHacks series. Are you frustrated that you have not been able to take the vision of what you want and make it real? Do you ever wonder why you are working so hard and still not attaining the achievement and satisfaction your efforts deserve? These days, it seems that greater demands are being placed on our personal and professional lives than ever before, and many of us are struggling to stay afloat, let alone thrive. And a big reason why we continue to find ourselves spinning our wheels is that we are still trying to manage our lives with the same outdated conventions that our parents and grandparents used decades ago. What you need to understand is that there is a big difference between  movement  and  achievement . The biggest problem with to-do lists is that focusing only on what you need to get done does not guarantee that you’re actually maki...

Keep Hope Alive by J Ezuh

If you have found yourself in a tight spot right now.........Good news!!! You are not alone!!! Whatever you are going through right now, is not unique to you. There is someone, somewhere in the world going through the same thing. Now the other news is....someone else is going through something that is 10 times worse than whatever you are facing. You may be wondering why I am informing you of this seemingly obvious fact. The reason is simple. When you realise that you are not alone in the race of life then you don't feel like the world has conspired to rain only bad luck on you. You can even try to imagine if the "other" person is coping better or applying different strategies to get a better result. It is also worth recognising that at least one person has gone through the same problem and has come out on the other side a  much better person. This would enable you to have a focal point that empowers you through the tough times. Life is in stage...

Work Smarter, Not Harder: 21 Time Management Tips to Hack Productivity

Image
By  Jordan Bates   Synopsis “Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.” ― H. Jackson Brown Jr. A lot of folks in our society try to be hyper-productive. You know — the people who scurry from task to task, always checking e-mail, organizing something, making a call, running an errand, etc. The people who do this often subscribe to the idea that “staying busy” means you’re working hard and are going to be more successful. While this belief may be true to an extent, it often leads to mindless “productivity” — a constant need to do something and a tendency to waste time on menial tasks. Instead of behaving in this way, I choose to do things differently. Working Smarter, Not Harder The old adage, “work smarter, not harder” has become a staple in the way I go about work of an...

10 Principles of Abundance and Prosperity

Image
Lewis Howes   November 17, 2017 My dream was to become a professional athlete. I worked harder than anyone else through high school in order to achieve that goal and become a professional arena football player. I had it all until a career-ending injury landed me broke and angry on my sister’s couch for over a year. I probably would have still been there if I didn’t  take action . I learned that the one thing that was  holding me back  the most was myself. I had such a poor mindset that if I didn’t change, I would have never gotten off my sister’s couch, let alone reached where I am today. I learned to live in abundance. Related:  6 Ways to Embrace an Abundance Mindset It was transformational coach Chris Lee who opened up the world of abundance for me. I learned that being abundant doesn’t mean having a lot of money or a lot of material things. It’s about who you are being every day. Abundance is a state of consciousness and gratitude, which...

Are You Ready for Success? by Jennifer Ezuh

Imagine that you were asked to prepare for a dance to be performed on a National stage, to be viewed by all the media houses and broadcast live to the entire country. You are expected to put together the stage decor, musicians and the instruments. On the set day as you began to take those steps towards the stage you suddenly realised, you have not actually prepared a choreographed dance. How well do you think the performance will go? This is a metaphor for life. It is not sufficient to desire success without actually making any preparations for it. If you are going to sit for an exam you will definitely have to study the subjects you will be tested on to ensure you pass the exams. Often times we unknowingly take a passive approach to achieving success in life. Whatever success means to us, It is important that we do not make the assumption that if we simply continue the way we are going, success becomes a direct consequence. We have to actively engage in finding o...

7 Ways To Wake Up Motivated!

Image
Morning If you have trouble waking up in the morning with motivation, you are not alone. From the research that I do and the number of people I speak with, this is a very common occurrence. I myself dealt with this issue which lingered on for years. I would go to bed guaranteeing to myself that I would wake up with all the motivation in the world, ready to tackle anything in front of me, only to have all of it completely forgotten in the morning. It’s quite frustrating, to say the least! There are simple things that you can do that will help ensure that you wake up with the proper level of motivation to get you to have a productive, successful day. Here is my personal list of things that do just that: Get out of bed immediately Arguably, the worst thing you can do to your motivation in the morning is to stay lying in your comfortable bed. You will try to debate with yourself, whether you should get up or stay a little longer. Guess which side usually wins? How do you get...
