Bear Your Yoke........J Ezuh
One of the greatest tragedies in life is meeting an old person who cannot afford their upkeep in the later stages of their life. I spoke with a retired lady and found out that she is not able to put her heating on, because of how expensive it is. Mind you the weather is at least 3 degrees at night time. I was simply filled with sadness and worry for her health.
This has lead me into a deep ponder and a rethink on the limitations that a place on myself. The worry on how to establish my business, asking myself about the scale-ability and allowing my fears to hold me back. The question though is if I can't get on with it now, when? The Greatest Book on earth the Bible says, It is good for a young man to bear his burden in his youth. Lamentations 3:27 This simply means, the time to work hard is when you are young.
It is being proven that relying on the government to cater for us when we are old is probably going to be extinct at some point. With the pressures on the public finances, people are expected to work longer and the expected pensions are becoming less and less sufficient to sustain a decent living standard.
It is obvious that the very principles upon which societies have long existed, are being dismantled gradually. It is time that a mental shift begins to occur and people start realising that it is up to the individual to define the time they retire and how well they live after they retire. It is definitely not up to the government.
The only way you can ascertain this is by achieving financial freedom when you are young. We spend most of our lives wishing we could be more successful financially and otherwise. If only we spent as much time working towards being successful in all areas of our lives.
We need to apply ourselves to the study of what creates success and how we can work towards it. One of my greatest motivations is the fact that I do not want to leave planet earth with unfulfilled potentials. I want to live it all out. To explore my capabilities to the fullest.
We are approaching a new year. 2018. Along with our New Year Resolutions, I would encourage that we add a commitment to success in a specific area in our life.
Study people who have succeeded in that area. Make notes on parallel attributes they share and make conscious efforts to imbibe these attributes. Most importantly, we must put your plans to work.

Makes too much sense
